Abstract:
As pessoas que nascem com fissura labiopalatina (FLP) podem apresentar alterações de fala durante seu desenvolvimento, estas geralmente estão relacionadas às alterações estruturais inerentes à FLP. A eficácia da intervenção precoce na área de distúrbios da comunicação tem sido foco de interesse na busca pela diminuição do risco da criança com FLP apresentar distúrbios de fala e linguagem. A utilização de mídias eletrônicas para a disseminação de conhecimento sobre desenvolvimento de fala na FLP é um recurso importante para a promoção, prevenção e intervenção em saúde, particularmente durante a formação do Fonoaudiólogo. Por isso, o objetivo deste estudo foi desenvolver e avaliar uma mídia eletrônica abordando o desenvolvimento da fala em crianças com fissura labiopalatina no primeiro ano de vida. Esta mídia eletrônica será disponibilizada em um ambiente virtual sobre o desenvolvimento de bebês com FLP contrastado ao desenvolvimento de bebês sem FLP. O conteúdo da mídia foi avaliado por três Professores de Departamentos de Distúrbios da Comunicação, usando dois questionários adaptados do Health-Related Web Site Evaluation Form Emory e WebMac E-Commerce. A mídia também foi avaliada por 25 graduandos do curso de Fonoaudiologia através de um roteiro avaliativo que avaliou o conhecimento adquirido pelos alunos antes de depois do acesso à mídia. O roteiro avaliativo foi elaborado com base no conteúdo da mídia eletrônica e apresentava 24 afirmativas com opções de resposta sendo: verdadeiro ou falso. O conteúdo do material foi avaliado positivamente, sendo considerado como excelente pelos Professores. Na avaliação feita pelos alunos de fonoaudiologia foi observado o número de acertos e erros nas afirmativas do roteiro avaliativo antes e após o acesso ao material da mídia eletrônica. O aumento da porcentagem de acertos após o acesso a mídia, especificamente nas afirmativas relacionadas ao desenvolvimento da fala dos bebês com FLP. Os achados sugerem a eficácia da mídia eletrônica para o aumento de conhecimento referente ao desenvolvimento de fala de bebês com FLP no primeiro ano de vida. Assim, uma mídia eletrônica foi criada, contendo informações sobre o desenvolvimento da fala do bebê com FLP durante o primeiro ano de vida, contrastando com o desenvolvimento do bebê sem FLP. O material também inclui estratégias e sugestões importantes para prevenção das alterações de fala. ; People who are born with cleft lip and palate (CLP) may have speech disorders during their development, these are usually related to structural changes inherent to the CLP. The effectiveness of early intervention in communication disorders field has been the focus of interest in studies aiming to reduce the risk for speech and language disorders in children with CLP. The use of electronic media to disseminate knowledge about speech development in CLP is an important resource for promotion, prevention and health intervention, particularly during the academic formation of speech therapists and audiologists. Therefore, the aim of this study was to develop and to evaluate an electronic media about the development of speech in children with CLP in the first year of life. This electronic media will be available in a virtual environment about the development of babies with CLP and compares the development of babies with CLP to those without FLP. The media content was evaluated by three Professors at Departments of Communication Disorders, using two questionnaires adapted from the Health-Related Web Site Evaluation Forms Emory and the WebMac E-Commerce. The media was also assessed by 25 undergraduate students at a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology program, using a questionnaire developed to evaluate the knowledge of the students before and after accessing to the media. The questionnaire was based on the content of the electronic media and presented 24 statements with true or false options. The content of the material was evaluated positively, and it was considered \"excellent\" by the Professors. In the evaluation done by the students it was considered the number of correct and incorrect responses to all true or false affirmatives before and after accessing the media. The results showed an increase in the percentage of correct answers after access to the media, specifically in the affirmatives related to development of speech in babies with CLP. The findings suggest the effectiveness of electronic media to increase knowledge about speech development of babies with CLP in the first year of life. Thus, an electronic media was created, containing information about the development of speech in babies with CLP during the first year of life as compared to the development of babies without CLP. The material also included strategies and suggestions important for the prevention of speech disorders.
